Abstract

The issue of human development in Indonesia is very often heard. The issue explicitly or implicitly occupies a very important position in the philosophy of the Pancasila State and other state documents. It does not seem excessive to say that Concern about human development from the outset has underlaid the mainstream development model in Indonesia at least in the ideal or normative order. One indicator to see the rate of human development is through the human development index (HDI). The pace of human development according to UNDP can be seen through the achievement of the strategic value of life (longevity), knowledge (knowledge), and decent living standards (decent living).
